a la Nicoise is a French term that literally means "in the style of Nice". It refers to food cooked in the manner of the chefs of the French city of Nice -- generally includes a garnish of garlic, tomatoes, anchovies, black olives, capers, and lemon juice.

Examples are Ravioles a la nicoise or Tripe a la nicoise
