Halva refers to Indian sweets made from syrup and vegetables or fruit. It is translucent, comes in bright colors and serve cold in small squares. Its colors depends on the ingredient use during cooking, colors like orange, green and red are derived from the color of carrots, pistachio and mango, respectively.
