Moutabel is a spicy eggplant dip from Lebanon. The enticing appetizer gets its heat from green chile peppers, which can be omitted if desired. This dip can be served hot or cold, but it is best when served warm to hot. It can be served with warm or toasted pita bread, chips, or crackers. Moutabel is a spicier version of baba ghannouj.
