Gui refers to broiled/barbecued Korean dishes. In cooking gui, meats are marinated first, then broiled or barbecued over a charcoal fire. The most popular meats of this type are bulgogi and galbi. There are also many fish dishes which are cooked this way.

Gui also known as grilled dishes has first appeared in the Korean diet when Koreans began to use fire for cooking.
