Boulette is the French word which literally means "ball". In cooking term, it means meatball or fishball. It refers to a food formed into small balls. It refers not only to meatballs, but also a flat croquette rolled in breadcrumbs and fried. It can refer to a dumpling, small pastry or a cheese cassata. This is a good way to cook left-over meat or fish

Boulette is pronounced "boo-lett"
