Mandazi refers to an East African coconut bread. It isslightly sweet and has often been likened to doughnuts. It is available everywhere in East Africa where it is a typical street food. It is eaten at anytime, for breakfast with tea, for a snack or with bharazi for lunch or dinner. Other definition: Mandazi refer to Kenya's popular local doughnuts.
