Cafe Liegeois refers to a Belgian dessert which was originally named Cafe Viennoise. It is made with coffee ice cream topped with strong coffee and creme chantilly and served with a garnishing of chopped toasted nuts. The name Cafe Liegeois was adopted during the World War II as Cafe Viennoise sounded German. Cafe Liegeois is pronounced "kah-fay-lenz-whah"
