Machaca is referring to a Mexican shredded, dried meat that is slowly cooked with chiles and spices. Machaca is used in making tacos, burritos and egg dishes.

 

Machaca also called Carne Machaca is a  widely popular and extremely versatile dish which is  seen in every corners of Mexico as it is available not only in restaurants, but also on street food stalls selling different kinds of street foods.  It can be eaten on its own and used in various dishes, such as Tacos, Nachos, Tlayuda, and Pambazo as a topping or filling.
