Montucas popularly known as Tamales are Honduran dumplings made of corn dough and stuffed with chicken or pork meat. They are wrapped in a banana leaf or corn husk and then steamed or boiled. Tamales or Montucas is one of the common street foods in Honduras. Tamales can also be prepared with no filling at all as a starchy side dish and can be also served with other dishes.
