Chicken Yassa refers to one of Gambia's specialties made of chicken cooked with onions, garlic and lime then served with rice or chips. Chicken Yassa is likewise, marinated chicken grilled and cooked with onions, herbs and spices served on a bed of rice or couscous. Chicken Yassa is also a common dish in Senegal. Gambia is situated on West Africa's Atlantic coast. It is the smallest and westernmost mainland African nation.
