Salabat refers to a Filipino beverage of boiled ginger and drunk with sugar.

It is also called ginger tea, ginger brew or ginger drink. It is a famous drink during Christmas season when Midnight Masses are held in the Philippines. It is paired with sweets which are also famous during Midnight masses, such as Puto Bungbong and Bibingka.
