Wasserdampf is a German word for steam or water vapor. Water Vapor refers gaseous water. At a temperature of over 100° C water becomes gaseous and rises as steam. Water vapor is used widely in  housekeepingand house cleaning, like in pressure pots/cookers, steam cleaning to remove dirt and ironing textiles/clothes.
