Chawan Mushi is a Japanese dish - a steamed egg custard that contains vegetables, chicken, shrimp or fish cake, and other ingredients. It is the hot version of Tamago Dofu, however both Chawan Mushi and Tamago Dofu are delicate, smooth, savory egg custards. Chawan Mushi is also spelled and known as Chawanmushi.
