Chickpea flour which is also called Besan or Gram flour is a very fine flour mainly used in India where it is originated. It is made from finely milled chickpeas which is widely used in Indian cuisine.

Chickpea flour also play a role in Malaysian cuisine which was brought about and introduced by the Indians who immigrated to the Malaysia.
