Erbsensuppe refers to pea soup in Germany. This soup is made of yellow or green peas which is cooked with carrots, potatoes, celery, onions, leeks, parsley and spices, like, marjoram and pepper. Some households cook this soup with meat, particularly bacon, others cook the soup plain and the delicious taste is maintained by the variety of vegetable and spices added into it.
