Puree (Purée) is a food that is blended until it becomes smooth and thick. Purée also known in French as Bouillie means "mush".

Puree is made usually by mashing, pounding and sieving fruits and vegetables with the use of special kitchen tools like the potato ricer or potato masher (Presse Purée). The most famous example of Puree is the mashed potatoes.

Purée is pronounced in French as "Pyooy".
