Tiramisu which literally means “pick me up,” refers to a cold dessert that may not have originated in Rome, but it is an adopted specialty of the city. Its ingredients includes mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, raw eggs, sugar, espresso coffee, ladyfingers, liquor and cocoa. There are many different recipes for tiramisu found worldwide, the only main difference is usually are found in the type of liquor used.
