Muar Chee refers to steamed glutinous rice flour dough which is rolled in a mixture of ground peanuts, sugar and roasted sesame seeds. Muar Chee is one of the hawkers food found in Penang. Penang is a state in Malaysia and foods found in the state is widely regarded as the best in Malaysia. I think I like to try to prepare this dessert. It is easy to buy glutinous rice flour dought in the Philippine, peanuts is cheap and I will bring sesame seeds from Germany. In the Philippines we can always buy a ready-made glutinous rice flour dought since we use it to make round balls as big as a marble which we use as one of the ingredients for Guinatan/Ginatan, one of the most popular snacks found in the Philippines. I am excited!
