Pupusa refers to a favourite fast food unique to El Salvador. It is a tortilla stuffed with cheese, refried beans and other fillings such as beef or pork rinds. Salvadorans enjoy Pupusas served with spicy pickled cabbage and hot sauce. Pupusas are often sold by street vendors everywhere in El Salvador.

Likewise, in Honduras, Pupusas refer to dumplings made of corn dough stuffed or filled with pork skins. It is very similar to the country's Tamales or Montucas except that it is filled with pork skins.
