Batil Patung is the Tuguegarao version of pancit . It is made of local noodles, generously topped with hot dogs, crunchy chicharon bits, ground meat, fried egg, and vegetables .
The "batil" is a warm egg soup, which is poured over the pancit hence the term "patung" (to cover or place over). This dish did the trick; it had all the requisite flavors one looks for, enough to make it a meal in itself.
Tourists are allowed to witness the actual preparation of this local delicacy in some local panciterias in Tuguegarao City.
