Poori is a Bengali dish made of deep-fried , dry unleavened whole wheat bread, similar to chapattis but smaller. It is a bread usually made from wheat flour, salt and water, cooked on a tawa. They puff up when cooked. Poori which is also known as Puri is common in the North of India.
