Upma also called Uppama refers to Indian spiced Semolina (Rava) cooked with or without tiny cubed potatoes, peas, and sometime shrimp and garnished with freshly grated coconut and cilantro.

Picture below of Upma is one of the food served to me during my breakfast in Allepey, Kerala, India . The ready-made roasted Rava is cooked with black mustard, chopped onions and curry leaves . It is a very simple meal without any meat, but with those tempered tiny mustards and curry leaves made it so delicious. They served it with fresh banana.
