Witblitz refers to South Africa's potent home-made distilled alcohol, much similar to the American Moonshine. Witblitz means "white lightning" in Afrikaans. Moonshine is home-distilled alcohol and Ameican Moonshine is typically corn liquor made in cheap, homemade stills of a relatively simple design. Witblitz is pronounced as "vit-blitz".
