Aysh is an Egyptian term for bread. Aysh or bread is a mainstay in Egyptian diets. Aysh comes in several forms. When the bread is stuffed with any of several fillings, it becomes the Egyptian Sandwich. The plain aysh (bread) comes in long, skinny, French-style loaves.
