Kroketten/ Croquetten refers to fried croquettes sold all over the Netherlands which are made of dough with meat, cheese, prawns or potatoes and then deep-fried. Croquetten are best eaten when they are still piping hot or straight from the frying pan. Croquetten are usually served with a mustard.
