Sambharam refers to the South Indian form of Lassi. Sambharam which is a favorite beverage of Kerala is made of curd, salt and water mixed with curry leaves and dry ginger. This is a cooling agent and reduces heat from the body. In Kerala, it is customary to serve a tall glass of cool Sambharam to entertain guests.
