Akácméz is the Hungarian word for "acacia honey". Akácméz is one of the most common forms of Méz or honey and is found at every market stalls throughout Hungary. It is made from the the flowers of the acacia tree which is known as locust in North America. Akácméz is pronounced "ak-ahts-mayz" .
