Puno ng Rambutan

Puno ng Rambutan refers to the tree that bears the rambutan fruit, a popular tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia. The rambutan tree is part of the Sapindaceae family, which also includes other well-known fruits like lychee and longan. Rambutan fruits are known for their hairy appearance, with a soft, sweet, and juicy flesh inside that encases a single seed. The name "rambutan" comes from the Malay word "rambut," meaning hair, which describes the fruit's unique, hairy exterior.

Punsch

Punsch refers to a Swedish sweet, yellow alcoholic drink. Punsch also refers to Danish strong liqueur which is based on Arrack - a strong distilled spirit made from fermented fruit, sugar cane, rice and anise seeds. It was imported to Scandinavia in the 18th Century from the Indonesian island of Java. It has a specific color which may vary from golden yellow to dark yellow. Due to the presence of its exotic ingredients, it is characterised by a unique flavor with overtones of almond, banana, chocolate, whisky and even tobacco. Danes or Danish people drink it hot to get warm in the winter or as an accompaniment to the traditional almond cake, Kransekake, especially at birthday and wedding parties.

Punu Pua'atoro

Punu Pua'atoro refers to French Polynesian canned corned beef or the Tahitian equivalent to Spam. Punu Pua'atoro is typically pan fried or grilled with onions and served with roasted breadfruit. Punu Pua'atoro is crispy, salty and fatty like bacon or sausage, Punu Pua'atoro is certainly a healthiest option but it is widely enjoyed and deeply revered by the locals of French Polynesia. Although Punu Pua'atoro is one of the foods enjoyed very much in the island , it is only found most local households but not on restaurant menus.

Pupu is Hawaiian for appetizers or hors d’oeuvres which are a standard fare in any restaurant and range from the simple to the exotic. Pupu also refers to a platter found at many Luaus that is basically a platter of hors d'oeuvres, Hawaiian island style.
