Pate d'amandes is a French term that refers to almomd paste or marzipan which is made with equal weight of ground sweet almonds and icing sugar.
Marzipan is very famous all over Europe, especially during Christmas time where many cookies and cakes were made with marzipan as a basic ingredient.
