Lunu Miris or Lunumiris is a Sri Lanka chili and onion paste, a chili/onion relish/condiment which is made from red chilies, onions, lemon juice, and salt. Sometimes dry Maldive fish is also added to the mixture. To prepare Lunu Miris, all said ingredients are ground into a paste consistency using the traditional stone mortar and pestle.
Lunu Miris is often served with Kiribath, a special rice from Sri Lanka cooked with coconut milk. Also an accompaniment for Pol roti or Hoppers.
Lunu means onion and Miris means chilli in Sinhalese.
Lohi is the Finnish word for "Salmon".
