Ari Unda is one of the popular sweet snacks from Kerala, India made from a mixture of rice flour, fresh grated coconut and jaggery. Likewise, these balls are made from grinded rice or rice flour (Ari Podi) and flavored with spices, like Cardamom powder.
Ari means rice and Unda means balls in Malayalam language, the language spoken in the Indian state of Kerala.

Arisa Pithas refer to the popular home-made cakes from Orissa, India. Arisa Pithas is a kind of sweet/delicacy well-known all over Orissa that is prepared from rice flour, powdered cinnamon, jaggery syrup and vegetable oil or ghee. The small balls of rice dough are rolled and deep fried. Arisa Pithas is similar to Kachoris, they are both easy to prepare and can be stored for few days.
