Arak

Arak refers to Lebanese distilled grape liquor flavoured with anise and mixed with water

Arame

Arame refers to a mild, sweet tasting, brown seaweed often served as a side dish in Japanese cuisine. Arame which is a mild flavored sea vegetable is rich in calcium, iodine and potassium. To use, simmer with tamari, lemon juice and rice wine until tender and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve as a side dish with fish or with grains and beans for a vegetarian option. Soaked Arame can be added to stir-fry dishes.
