Banh Hoi refers to a Vietnamese dish of flattened vermicelli rice noodles served with meat, topped with fried scallions and crushed peanuts.

Bake Blind refers to a baking term which means to bake or partly-bake a pastry case before filling. It is done by lining the pan with pastry. Place aluminium foil or greaseproof paper over pastry and fill with dried beans or rice. Bake pastry as directed in recipe, remove paper.

Balchao means "Pickling", India's culinary term, specifically from Goa. Goa's speciality is pickling foods (vegetables and seafoods), like aubergines or prawns which are "pickled” in sugar, vinegar and spices for a day or two before eating. Goa is India's richest state.

Bazhe refers to a typical dish from Western Georgia. It is made by boiling or frying chicken cut into bite size pieces then cooking them with a sauce made from a mixture of grind walnuts with saffron, garlic, and salt.

Bacalhau à Braz refers to Portugal's dish made of codfish and french fries in thin strips combined with eggs and garnished with parsley, in an onion sauce.

Basil Anton refers to unusually compact Genovese type/variety of basil with large shiny leaves. Eight (8) weeks after planting the seeds, it is ready for picking and for using in various dishes. It is also a good variety for displaying on a window sil.
