Ekuri is the Hindi name of spiced scrambled eggs. Ekuri is made from scrambled eggs with addition of chopped or sliced onions, sometimes green chilies and spices.

Ela Batu refers to one of Sri Lankas' popular dishes which is an eggplant curry. Thai eggplants are used to make Ela Batu together with Sri Lanka's version of green curry sauce, hence Ela Batu is called Thai Eggplant Curry in English. Ela Batu is similar to Thailand's green curry.

Elastin refers to the tough yellow connective tissue in meat which can not be tenderized by cooking. Elastin is usually removed before cooking.
