Goyave is the French word for "Guava" . Guava is eaten as a fruit, in the Philippines, it is dipped in salt, sometimes with vinegar and salt (particularly in the Ilocos Region), and as souring agent, like in cooking Sinigang sa Bayabas. There are different varieties of guavas available in the market, some have yellow, reddish and white meat, some are small and round, but others are big as an apple or pear. It is also made into a juice and jelly or marmalade.
Gozinki refers to an original Georgian dessert - a nuts and honey bars. Gozinki is made by fried nuts boiled with honey until the nuts and honey are caramelized. The mixture is cooled until it is hard and then cut in squares. It is one of the most popular sweets from the country.
In Georgian which is located in Central Asia, there are just few sweets, as their various fruits, berries, natural juices, nuts, honey, and dry grape wine are already regarded as desserts.
Gozleme refers to a Turkish food; a kind of thin börek soaked in syrup or sprinkled with sugar, cooked on a sheet. Gozleme is a soft, thin bread wrap quickly heated on a stone tablet, and is often stuffed with cheese or spinach. Gozleme is one of the street foods in Turkey which is sold cheap in some rural areas, but a bit expensive in the cities.
Gozo refers to the mixture of dough-like processed and dried detoxified cassava which is one of the staple foods the Central African Republic or CAR.
Another staple foods is Sorghum. These two (2) staple foods are usually accompanied by a sauce made of vegetables, poultry, meat, or fish.
Bangui is the capital of Central African Republic. The country lies at the center of Africa in a region where wooded grasslands adjoin dense rain forests and has an area of about 239,400 square miles (620,000 square kilometers). The capital, Bangui, originated at the site of a French military post established on the banks of the Ubangi River in June 1889.
Grains of Paradise (Aframomum melegueta) refers to one of
the hardest to find spices which is a cross between pepper, ginger, and cardamom in flavor, but none of the three are related to Grains of Paradise. It is a very pungent seeds of a west African plant which taste like a spicy pepper. The plant produces a poppy like pod which contains about 50 of the small seeds that look like brown popcorn kernels. It is best added to to Middle Eastern lamb or eggplant dishes.
Grains of Paradise is one of the spice included in Qalat Dakka, a Tunisian spice blend.
