Neychoru

Neychoru is the Malayalam term for Ghee rice or rice cooked with Ghee (clarified butter). It is also known as Buttered rice. I Ghee Rice or NeyChoru is rice fried in Ghee along with aromatic spices and then cooked to perfection. It is seasoned with Fried onions, Cashews and Raisins. Ghee Rice is very popular in Northern part of Kerala. It is often served with spicy meat (chicken or mutton) curries. Neychoru is also spelled Ney Choru, Neichoru or Nei Choru
