Maori cuisine refers to the traditional food practices of the Maori people, the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand. This cuisine is deeply rooted in the history and culture of the Maori community and is known for its unique methods of preparation and cooking, especially the use of earth ovens, known as hangi.
Maqdeed refers to a special dried meat from Oman. It is one of the special foods prepared in Oman for for festive occasions that include the two (2) main religious festivals - the Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. Maqdeed is popular in Dhofar and Wusta regions of Oman. The Sultanate of Oman is one of the countries in Middle East and is located in the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula.
