Bulviniu Kukuliu Sriuba

Bulviniu Kukuliu Sriuba refers to a type of Lithuanian soup. It is made as follows - minced potato is shaped into balls, and then these are then boiled in milk. Bulviniu Kukuliu Sriuba is also defined as a soup made with minced potato shaped into balls and then boiled in milk.

Boxty

Boxty refers to the potato pancake of Irish tradition. The dish is found mainly is the north midlands. There are a variety of recipes for this however, the common thread among the variations is raw potatoes that are finely gated and served up fried. The version most sought after today however incorporates flour with mashed potatoes, baking butter milk, baking soda and eggs. Boxty is one of the traditional dishes of Northern Ireland This dish consists of equal parts of cooked and grated raw potatoes, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar made into a dough, shaped and cooked on a bakestone or griddle. It is buttered and eaten hot. The mixture can also be made into a batter with flour and milk and fried like a pancake. This is eaten with brown sugar and butter. These dishes were also traditionally served at Halloween.

Baje

Baje refers to a rich garlic and creamed walnut sauce from Georgia, a small country in the Caucasus, surrounded on the north by Russia, on the east by Azerbaijan, on the south by Armenia and Turkey, and on the west by the Black Sea.

Benachin which is also called "Jollof Rice" refers to a mixture of spiced meat and rice with tomato puree and vegetables. Benachin which means "one pot" in the Wolof language, is a popular dish all over West Africa. It is thought to have originated in Ghana but has since spread to the whole of West Africa, especially Nigeria and Gambia, amongst members of the Wolof ethnic group. There are many variations but the most common basic ingredients are: rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, salt and red pepper. Beyond that, nearly any kind of meat, vegetable or spice can be added. Wolof refers to the language spoken in Senegal, The Gambia, and Mauritania, and is the native language of the ethnic group of the Wolof people who are an ethnic group found in Senegal, The Gambia, and Mauritania.

Besh Barmak

Besh Barmak is the National Dish of Kyrgyzstan. The name 'Besh Barmak' means five (5) fingers. This dish is named so because it is eaten with hands. It is the final dish of a typical three (3)- course Kyrgyzstan meal. The dish is usually prepared for special celebrations such as weddings or house warming. Pieces of meat is put in a large pot with onions and boiled for two hours. Then noodles are boiled in the same water to give it a meaty flavor. The final dish is basically a thick broth of meat and noodles.
