Chub

Chub refers to a kind of fish related to the carp and minnow families. Chub is also a term used to describe short, usually plump meat that comes unsliced in a casing.

Consomme

Consomme is French word referring to clear, strong flavored soup, broth or stock. The base may be a clear stock of beef, game or poultry. There are many varities or types of Consomme based on the other ingredients added to the basic stock, like vegetables, rice, noodles, meat, etc. Diffrerent types/varieties of Consomme are defined individually in the Glossary.

Cha-Zuke

Cha-Zuke refers to a Japanese dish made of cooked rice with various toppings and other ingredients over which green tea is poured. The toppings can be salmon or tarako. It is a suitable dish for making used of left over rice. Cha-zuke is also known as Chazuke or O-Cha-Zuke

Cafezinho

Cafezinho which means "small coffee" and refers to a Brazilian small cup of strong, sweetened coffee usually served after meals in restaurants, sometimes for free if politely requested. Cafezinho means tiny cups of strong Brazilian coffee usually served in Brazil with sweet desserts.

Chimarrão

Chimarrão refers to Brazilian tea which is hot, bitter and equivalent of Mate. Chimarrão can be found in the south of Brazil and is highly appreciated by the Gaúchos, the Rio Grande do Sul dwellers.

Calimocho

Calimocho refers to a very popular drink from Spain, made by mixing some red wine with Coke or Cola. Calimocho is said to be developed by the young people from Spain to have their own wine during Botellones. The red wine is mixed with the Cola and drunk straight from the Coke bottle. Calimocho is also known or spelled as Kalimotxo in the Basque Country and Navarre where it is really very popular. In Germany, it is said that a drink called "Colarot" (cola and red as in red wine) exists.
