Myadukha

Myadukha is the the Belorussian word for "Mead", the traditional drink of Old Slavs. Mead's origins date back to the pre-historic times, when the Slav tribes drank it as an act of faith in the pagan god, Perun. Mead is made from natural honey in the process of fermentation. Myadukha is often served in summer chilled, with ice cubes and a slice of lemon. It can also be prepared as a hot beverage, similar to mulled wine, but additional spices, such as cinnamon and ginger. ginger.
