Murtabak refers to a Malaysian dish which is also found ist way to Singapore made with Indian bread called Prata filled with mutton, egg, and dipped in Dhal. Murtabak is actually a fuller-bodied version of Prata.
Murtabak which is a favorite late-night meal is made from a very large Prata, stuffed with curried minced mutton or chicken, onions and egg. These days, however, different version of Murtabak has come out, there is already a sardine Murtabak and cheese Murtabak.

The handle on the top and the plate on the bottom can be removed. The older models were made of brass with two (2) handles.
